He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Written Culture at the Sor Juana Institute for Postgraduate Studies in Tijuana, Mexico.
From 1999 to date he has developed his work in various media, mainly painting and drawing. Photography, video and installation have given his work the opportunity to explore new dimensions of meaning. His work is located at the crossroads between what we understand as pictorial language and the reflections on disciplinary practice that we identify as painting. Lugo directs these material-conceptual explorations towards the creation of aesthetic experiences that reveal something about our ways of seeing, while all contemplation opens up space to repair our own human condition.
His work has been exhibited in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Caracas, Bogotá, Rio de Janeiro, Santiago, Madrid, Mexico City, Amsterdam, Paris, Hong Kong, among others.
He currently lives and work in Tijuana
