Artist with a prolific career in contemporary art. His work covers a wide range of media and supports, from painting, sculpture, photography, video and installation, to his own body.

He studied Visual Arts at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving "La Esmeralda" and resided for several years in the city of Kyoto, Japan, while studying at the University of Art and Design. With more than 35 individual exhibitions and 140 group exhibitions, his work has been presented in different international spaces such as the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Paláis in Tokyo in Paris, the Apporo Modern Art Museum in Hokkaidō, in biennials and art fairs such as Frieze , The Armory Show, Art Bassel, Art Chicago, Kunstart, Arco, Volta, and in Mexico in spaces such as the Museum of Modern Art, Carrillo Gil Art Museum, Museum of Mexico City, Tamayo Art Museum, Art Laboratory Alameda, among others.

He has obtained some prizes such as the Acquisition Prize at the Sapporo International Print Bienale in Japan, the Acquisition Prize at the October Salon-Omnilife Grand Prize, the Caja de Madrid Trophy; the Jury Prize at the “Clermont Ferrand” Film Festival and the Young Creators grant from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts.

His vitality has led him to undertake projects that extend his artistic concerns beyond his work. In 2002 he conceptualized and directed MexArt Fest, a festival that presented the most interesting and outstanding contemporary artistic proposals and manifestations in Mexico in Japan; Later he directed the group of artists who formed CONCENTRADO for the renovation of the historic center of Mexico City; in 2011 he founded Central Art Projects, an independent space dedicated to the production, exhibition and dissemination of contemporary art culture and practices

He currently lives and works in Mexico City.
