He studied a Master of Fine Arts at Central Saint Martins College London and is currently an assistant to photographer Graciela Iturbide. His individual exhibitions include Knotting at the Museo de la Cuidad de México 2013, Last Night at the Irish Museum of Modern Art and Oswaldo Ruiz 2002-2009 at the Fototeca de Nuevo León in 2010. From his participation in group exhibitions, the following stand out: Record 02 : Look a second time at MARCO 2009, Unveil and detonate: Photography in Mexico, ca. 2015, at the Centro Cibeles de Cultura in Madrid 2015; There is Everything that has a name, in Camera Work SF, in San Francisco (2015. De silencio siempre, D21, in Santiago de Chile 2014; Dirty, Poorly Dressed and Filled with Love, Erehwon Center For The Arts Philippines 2013; El Vertigo De The Abundance At Casa Del Lago, UNAM, And Based On A True Story, Salvador Allende Museum, Santiago De Chile 2012.
Among his distinctions are the Acquisition Prize at the II Visual Art Biennial of Yucatan as well as the Prize of the International Society of Values of Mexican Art, and a 2nd Place in the Petrobrás-Buenos Aires Photo 2006 Prize; in addition to an Honorable Mention in the XIII Biennial of Photography of the Image Center. He has also received artistic production grants from FONCA, FONECA Nuevo León and FORCA Noreste and has been selected to develop various international residencies, such as the one he held in 2010 at the Irish Museum of Modern Art.
He currently lives and works in Mexico City.
